Convertory ("we", "our", "the app") converts documents and images between formats. This policy explains what happens to your files and what, if anything, we collect when you use Convertory.

Your files stay on your device

File conversion happens locally on your own device. When you convert a file, its contents are processed on your computer or phone — they are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party over the internet. We do not see, store, or have access to the files you convert.

Convertory for iPhone and iPad

The iPhone and iPad app is a native app that does all of its work on the device, using Apple's own on-device frameworks (PDFKit, Vision and VisionKit). It contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking code, and no network connection for processing files, so nothing you open, scan or convert ever leaves your device. Results are saved in the app's folder, which you can see in the Files app under “On My iPhone › Convertory”, and you can delete them at any time from the Library tab or the Files app. We do not collect any data from the iPhone and iPad app.

What we collect

Convertory does not require an account to use the free tier. We do not collect the content of your files, file names, or usage analytics tied to your identity. If a future PRO subscription requires payment processing, that payment is handled by the relevant app store (Microsoft Store, Apple App Store, or Google Play) under their own privacy policies — we do not receive or store your payment details.

Permissions the app may request

Convertory may request access to files or folders you explicitly choose (for example, through a file picker) so it can read the file you want to convert and save the result. It does not access other files on your device without your action.

On iPhone and iPad, the app asks for camera access only when you open the document scanner, to photograph pages you want to turn into a PDF; the pictures stay on your device. Photos are read only when you pick them in the system photo picker, which gives the app access to just the items you select.

Children's privacy

Convertory is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Convertory adds new platforms or features. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
